According to Article 33 of Taiwan’s “University Act,” university-level student self-governing organizations may collect membership fees from all students at the university. Currently, the NTPU Student Union charges an annual membership fee of 450 NTD per person for full-time (日間學制) students at National Taipei University.
This fee will be present along your tuition payment invoice during registration for each academic year, and you may pay it through the Land Bank Tuition Payment System. Although payment of this fee is not a prerequisite for completing university registration, we strongly encourage you to pay the student union dues to ensure the smooth operation of the Union and to help us advocate for your rights and those of the entire student body.
For events organized by us, those who pay the membership fee typically enjoy priority registration or reduced registration fees. Paying the membership fee at the beginning of the academic year also usually qualifies you to participate in early-bird raffles. (Subject to the annual announcements of each campus’s student council.)
