Elections and Voting
The second semester of each academic year is the election period for the Student Union at both campuses, during which elected officers at all levels for the following academic year’s student government will be selected. The Union encourage all NTPU students (INCLUDING OVERSEAS ONES) to participate in the elections—whether you support or oppose the candidates, your voice won’t be heard if you don’t speak up! The Union uses an entirely online voting system; from logging in to casting your vote, the entire process can be completed on a single page right on your device!
Note: The Student Union in this article may refer to NTPU Student Union or its executive branch in Sanxia Campus (formally called Sanxia Campus Student Union).

Which officers will be elected?
Student Union/Association President
The President serves as the head of the Sanxia Student Union/Taipei Student Association, overseeing its affairs and leading the Executive Cabinet. The Student Union Presidents of both campuses represent the students of their respective campuses externally and are ex officio representatives at the University Council (校務會議).
Student Parliament/Congress Members
Student Parliament/Congress Members Members form the Student Parliament/Congress, which exercises legislative authority. They question the Student Union/Association on its policies, review the budget and final accounts, and serve as representatives of student sentiment, handling petitions and conveying student opinions to the Student Union/Association and National Taipei University.
(Several) Department Student Association President
Department student associations are not affiliated with the NTPU Student Union; the two maintain an independent and mutually respectful partnership. Each year, the Sanxia Campus Election Committee collaborates with department student associations (full-time departments only) to assist in organizing the elections for department student association presidents. If your department’s election is not listed in the voting system, it may be because your department has decided to conduct the election independently; please contact your department student association directly.
